Kendra Paredes Hayden
Kendra Paredes Hayden has a master of fine arts degree with an
emphasis in creative writing from the University of Missouri in St. Louis.  
She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Southern
Illinois University in Carbondale.  She has been published in The Louisville
Review, a literary Magazine at Spaulding University in Louisville, KY;
Buffalo Carp, a national literary magazine that comes out of Quad City
Arts; ESC! Magazine; and Natural Bridge, a literary magazine at the
University of Missouri in St. Louis.  She has taught continuing education
creative writing classes at the University of Missouri in St. Louis, and she
has taught Latin American studies at Lindenwood University in St. Louis.  
In addition to teaching, she has written for The Base News, The Suburban
Journals, The Messenger, and The Belleville News Democrat.  Currently
she writes for Lipstik, a magazine for women, and for Adult Lifestyles, a
magazine for senior citizens.  Both publications are part of the Belleville
News Democrat.
